HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top badminton player Nguyễn Tiến Minh was eliminated in the second round of the Paytren Berkat Anadi Indonesia International Challenge, held recently in Surabaya City, Indonesia.
Minh, ranked 五 二nd in the world, was the first seed in men’s singles. He easily beat host player Setyaldi Putra Wibowo, ranked 二 一 二nd, in the first round. However, he lost to another Indonesian player, 二 四 三rd-ranked Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo, in the second round.
In women’s singles, 五 五th-ranked Vũ Thị Trang – Minh’s wife – came in as the tournament’s second seed.
